Both eyes in this patient show a darkening of the macula with yellow exudates (drusen). The darkening is symmetric and encompasses the entire macula. The image on the left (left eye???) seems to be slightly worse. Vessels are also notably bigger in that left picture.

Drusen is German for "geode." pretty cool, i agree. You are correct, specifically, these are "soft" drusen.
